PRO DEVELOPMENT HUB AUDITION INFORMATION
IMPORTANT UPDATE
Please take a few minutes to read this page carefully, even if you have previously read information about the Pro Development Hub or spoken to a tutor about the audition process.
We have recently updated and expanded the Pro Development Hub audition process. As a result, some of the information you may have seen previously on our website, or heard from other students, may no longer be accurate.
The most significant change is that the audition process is now split across two separate rounds, taking place on different dates. This allows us to assess students more thoroughly and gives successful candidates a greater opportunity to demonstrate their abilities throughout the process.
Everything you need to know about the current audition process can be found on this page.
Although you may have already indicated that you would like to audition for the Pro Development Hub, we ask that you click the button at the bottom of this page to reconfirm your attendance for Round One, which will take place on Sunday 24th July 2027.
Please ensure that you are available for the entire day (09:00 to 18:00). As we expect more than 200 students to audition in Round One, we are unable to accommodate individual timing requests. We will contact you again in June 2027 asking you to reconfirm your attendance.
If you are unavailable on this date, that is absolutely fine. You will have the option to defer your Round One audition to a future date in 2028.
Please note that we are unable to offer alternative audition dates, video auditions, or individual rescheduling requests. All candidates must attend the scheduled audition date in order to be considered.
Upcoming Audition Dates
Sunday 25 July 2027 (09:00-18:00)
Sunday 23 July 2028 (09:00-18:00)
How to Take Part
Step 1: Choose Your Audition Year
At the bottom of this page, you’ll find a web form where you can select which audition you’d like to attend.
You can choose to audition in 2027 or 2028, depending on your availability.
If you already know you can’t make either of those dates, you can choose to be added to the waiting list for future audition days beyond 2028.
Step 2: Confirm Closer to the Date
About one month before the audition day, we’ll send you an email asking you to re-confirm that you can attend.
If you’re still available, simply re-confirm your attendance, and you’ll receive your audition materials two weeks before the audition.
If your circumstances have changed and you can no longer make the 2027 audition, you’ll have the option at that point to move your audition to 2028 — so there’s no pressure if plans shift closer to the time.
Important Information
Please note that:
We cannot audition anyone on alternative dates — the Audition Day is the only opportunity to audition for the Pro Development Hub.
We cannot offer auditions via video call, Zoom, or any remote format — all auditions must take place in person on the dates and times listed on this page.
We can’t make special arrangements for late arrivals or early departures.
You must be available for the entire day, from 09:00 to 18:00.
THE AUDITION PROCESS
The Pro Development Hub audition process consists of two rounds.
ROUND ONE
Date: Sunday 25th July 2027
Time: 09:00 to 18:00
Location: ArtsEd, 14 Bath Road, Chiswick, London, W4 1LY
Round One is an individual monologue audition.
You will perform a monologue of your choice for the audition panel. Following the audition, you will receive an email within one week confirming whether you have been invited to progress to Round Two.
ROUND TWO (FINAL RECALL)
Date: September 2027 (exact date to be confirmed)
Time: 09:00 to 18:00
Location: ArtsEd, 14 Bath Road, Chiswick, London, W4 1LY
Round Two is the final recall stage and takes place in a group workshop environment.
You will perform a duologue with another actor and work with the audition panel through a series of exercises and adjustments.
Following the Round Two audition, successful candidates will be invited to join the Pro Development Hub cohort beginning in May 2027.
If you are unable to attend the Round Two audition in September 2026, you will have the option to defer your Round Two audition to 2027 or 2028. You will not be required to complete Round One again.
ROUND ONE: MONOLOGUE AUDITION
CHOOSING YOUR MONOLOGUE
You will need to select and prepare your own monologue.
Your monologue must:
Be taken from a published stage play (not from film, television, or self-written material).
Be no longer than 1 minute (60 seconds).
Reflect your casting type — a role you could realistically be cast as in a professional production.
Come from a play that you have read in full, so that you understand the wider context of the scene and character.
You may use a monologue that you have performed, or intend to perform, at the Monologue Jam. However, we would strongly encourage you to select a new piece of material for this audition.
Important: Monologues written by Gabriel Davis, D.M. Larson, or Adam Szymkowicz are not eligible and should not be used for this audition process.
Please note: Monologues that exceed 60 seconds will be stopped by the panel and will unfortunately result in an unsuccessful audition outcome.
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring three clearly printed, easy-to-read copies of your monologue with you on the day of the audition.
You do not need to send your monologue to us in advance.
When you enter the audition room, you will hand your three printed copies to the audition panel. This allows the panel to follow along with your performance as you audition.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your exact audition time slot will be confirmed approximately 3 days before the audition. Candidates should allow approximately 2 hours for the audition process.
Once at the venue, you will be invited into the audition room individually.
Once you have handed your printed monologue copies to the panel, you will be asked to introduce yourself and briefly share:
Your name
The name of the play
The character you will be performing
Why you chose this monologue (please keep this to one or two sentences)
Where you currently are on your acting journey
Where you would like your acting career to take you in the future
You will then perform your monologue.
In most cases, you will perform the monologue once. Occasionally, the panel may ask you to repeat part of the piece or perform it again with a specific adjustment, but this is entirely at the panel’s discretion.
Once your audition is complete, you will be free to leave.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Within one week of the audition, you will receive an email confirming whether you have been invited to progress to Round Two.
If you are invited to Round Two, you will receive further information regarding the final recall process.
If you are not invited to Round Two, this will conclude your Pro Development Hub audition journey for this intake.
However, students who continue training at Kingdom School of Arts may be recommended for future Pro Development Hub auditions by their tutors. All Kingdom courses include ongoing assessments, and tutors can recommend students for future consideration whenever they feel a student is ready.
ROUND TWO: FINAL RECALL
PREPARING FOR THE RECALL
If you are successful in Round One, you will be invited to attend the final recall (Round Two) in September 2027 (exact date to be confirmed).
Approximately two weeks before the audition, you will be sent a duologue scene and informed which character you are expected to prepare.
You will be expected to learn the scene thoroughly and arrive fully off book.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Round Two takes place in a group workshop setting.
On the day, you will be partnered with another actor and given time to warm up and rehearse your scene together before presenting it to the panel. Please note that you will not know who your scene partner is until the day of the audition.
Throughout the session, the panel may provide feedback, adjustments, and direction. We will be looking not only at your performance, but also at your ability to listen, adapt, collaborate, and respond professionally to notes.
FINAL OUTCOME
Within 14 days of the Round Two audition, you will receive an email confirming whether you have been offered a place in the Pro Development Hub cohort beginning in May 2028.
If you are not offered a place, this will conclude your Pro Development Hub audition journey for this intake. However, students who continue training at Kingdom School of Arts may still be recommended for future Pro Development Hub auditions by their tutors, as all Kingdom courses include ongoing assessments and opportunities for recommendation.
We wish you the very best of luck and look forward to seeing your work.
