PRO DEVELOPMENT HUB AUDITIONS
Please do not share this web page
If you’re on this page, it means you’ve been invited to audition for the Pro Development Hub — congratulations! This is an invitation that only our most talented and dedicated students receive. The Pro Development Hub is an extremely competitive intensive course, with only 14 spaces available each year. It is the most advanced level of actor training offered at Kingdom School of Arts, designed for students who are ready to work at a professional standard. This is our most demanding course and the audition process is reflective of this.
We hold one audition day per year, known as the Pro Development Audition Day, where shortlisted students audition for a place in the next Pro Development Hub cohort. You are required to be available for the entire day - if you arrive late or need to leave early it will not be possible for you to take part in the audition process, and we advise you to book your audition for another year when you can be available for the full duration.
Upcoming Audition Dates
Sunday 26 July 2026 (09:00-18:00)
Sunday 25 July 2027 (09:00-18:00)
How to Take Part
Step 1: Choose Your Audition Year
At the bottom of this page, you’ll find a web form where you can select which audition you’d like to attend.
You can choose to audition in 2026 or 2027, depending on your availability.
If you already know you can’t make either of those dates, you can choose to be added to the waiting list for future audition days beyond 2027.
Step 2: Confirm Closer to the Date
About one month before the audition day, we’ll send you an email asking you to re-confirm that you can attend.
If you’re still available, simply re-confirm your attendance, and you’ll receive your audition materials two weeks before the audition.
If your circumstances have changed and you can no longer make the 2026 audition, you’ll have the option at that point to move your audition to 2027 — so there’s no pressure if plans shift closer to the time.
Important Information
Please note that:
We cannot audition anyone on alternative dates — the Audition Day is the only opportunity to audition for the Pro Development Hub.
We cannot offer auditions via video call, Zoom, or any remote format — all auditions must take place in person on the dates and times listed on this page.
We can’t make special arrangements for late arrivals or early departures.
You must be available for the entire day, from 09:00 to 18:00.
What to Prepare
There are two pieces you’ll need to prepare for your audition:
1. Duologue (provided by Kingdom)
Two weeks before the audition, we’ll send you:
A duologue scene to prepare.
A note specifying which character in that scene you’ll be performing.
You’ll be expected to prepare your side of the duologue in advance. You will not be partnered with another actor before the day — pairings are made on the morning of the audition.
2. Monologue (chosen by you)
You’ll also need to select and prepare your own monologue to perform on the day. Your monologue must:
Be taken from a published play (not from film or television).
Not exceed 1 minute (60 seconds).
Reflect your casting type – a role you can genuinely see yourself playing in a professional production.
Be from a play you’ve read in full, so you understand the context your monologue lives in.
Please also bring 3 clearly printed, easy-to-read copies of your monologue with you on the day of the audition. This will be handed to the audition panel so they can follow along as you perform.
We don’t need your monologue in advance — only a printed copy on the day.
We want to see that you understand who you are as an actor, and that your chosen material reflects your strengths, instincts, and casting range.
Please be aware that the monologues will be required for audition round 2. If you do not get through to this round, you will not need to perform the monologue.
What to Expect on the Day
The Audition Day is run as a series of group workshop rounds throughout the day.
Round 1: 09:00 – 12:00
30-minute warm-up.
30-minute rehearsal with your assigned partner.
Performance of your duologue in a 2-hour group workshop setting.
At 12:15, you will receive an email to confirm whether or not you have been invited to the second round.
If you’re not invited to the second round, then you have been unsuccessful on this occasion and your audition will end there. If the panel thought that you were close to getting through however, you may be invited back to audition again the following year.
Round 2: 13:00 – 15:00
Those invited to the second round will:
Be given a new partner and 15 minutes to rehearse.
Perform their duologue again.
Perform their prepared monologue for the panel in a group workshop setting.
At 15:15, a list will be posted showing who has made it to the final round.
Round 3 (Final Round): 16:00 – 18:00
In the final round, you’ll:
Be partnered once more with a new scene partner.
Perform both your duologue and monologue again in a group workshop setting.
After the final round concludes, the audition day will come to an end.
All final-round participants will be notified of their outcome within two weeks.
After the Audition
If you’ve auditioned in July 2026 and are successful, your Pro Development Hub course will begin in January 2027.
If you’ve auditioned in July 2027 and are successful, your Pro Development Hub course will begin in January 2028.
If you don’t make it this time, don’t be discouraged — we often invite promising candidates to re-audition the following year. If you remain in training at Kingdom and are recommended again by your tutor, you’ll be eligible to audition in the next intake.
