This year, Kingdom Drama School is delighted to announce that Alan will be joining us to lead Kingdom’s brand new screen-acting course, and in Spring Term 2019 will be personally teaching the course!

ABOUT THE COURSE

Students will gain an in-depth, technical understanding of camera techniques that will enable them to take on highly demanding roles. With a thorough understanding of angles, focus, and framing, they will develop the practical ability to deliver detailed performances for any camera configuration.

Students who have completed at least one year of training are invited to move on from stagecraft and apply their focus to the screen. In this one-year intensive program, all aspects of screen-acting will be covered, including a complementary business guidance module and the opportunity to create your own industry-standard material!

COURSE STRUCTURE OVERVIEW

TERM ONE | FIXED CAMERA

This first term focuses on fixed-camera work, enabling students to perfect their scripted performance techniques. Learn the basics of performance to camera and how to pitch your performances for such an intimate medium.

TERM TWO | MOVING CAMERA

The second term progresses our students to moving-camera work and improvised scenes, pushing them to develop both their performance skills and their technical awareness.

TERM THREE | FULL-SCALE FILM SHOOT

The third culminates in a fully-crewed production experience for the students, in which they perform in an on-location shoot in North London. Additionally this term, you will create your own material in class, utilising every skill you’ve learned throughout the course.
